The r4 archive for the Amiko Viper 4K V10, Octagon SF8008 and SF8008 MINI: version 0.6.11 and the report of a failed start

29 October 2026

The r4 archive has everything the V20 receivers got in 0.6.10 and 0.6.11, plus the fixes from r1, r2 and r3 for these receivers: the remote control buttons, the picture decoder, the SATA disk and, on the SF8008 and MINI, the start-up fixes.

New for a receiver that does not start: if the start fails and the receiver has a network cable, it sends us an anonymous technical report by itself, with no personal data, and shows its code on the front display. Leave it on for a few minutes with the cable plugged in and write to us on the forum with the model; the report tells us why it does not start.

Also new: you choose the receiver password, in Settings > Network & Internet, for SSH, SFTP and FTP, and it works only from your home network. There are also the channel editor, the forum on the receiver, the screenshot button and the blue Bouquets button, with Favourites in the menu language. Beta testers are counted only once and are the only ones who ask for remote assistance.

On a V10 that started from 0.6.6, version 0.6.11 also comes from the menu, under Software update, without the FTP server, which comes only with the archive. On the SF8008 and MINI you move to r4 by writing the archive from a USB stick. Tell us on the forum what works and what does not.
