HD Satelit image 0.6.6 alpha, for testers only, on the first Amiko Viper 4K (V10)

26 October 2026

Update, 27 October: the r1 archive (version 0.6.8) replaces 0.6.6 and fixes the picture on the TV; if you have 0.6.6, you get it from the menu, under Software update.

The HD Satelit image can now also be downloaded for the first Amiko Viper 4K (V10, viper4k or 4K UHD Combo in menus), as an alpha, for testers only. Alpha means the image is made for this receiver, but it has not been tried on the receiver itself yet: it may not start.

The V10 has the same processor as the Amiko Viper 4K V20, but another driver package from the manufacturer, another kernel and another layout of the internal memory. We compared the V10 drivers with the V20 ones, command by command, and the public images for the V10 with those for the V20; what was different is fixed in the image (since version 0.6.3) or is in the list of tests. The most important tests on the V10: the tuners, picture and sound over HDMI, films and streams, the remote.

The image for the V10 is version 0.6.6, the same as on updated V20 receivers. It is written from the image running on the receiver now, with its function for writing an image from a USB stick; only the kernel and the system are written, the receiver's start-up stays untouched. First make a copy of your settings and channel list and get the manufacturer's recovery archive for the V10.

Package updates for the V10 come later; until then, Software update says there are no updates.

Do you have a V10 and have you tried the image? Write to us at [email protected] what worked and what did not, with the logs and the photo of the note from the first start.
