The r3 archive for the Amiko Viper 4K V10, Octagon SF8008 and SF8008 MINI: the buttons, the picture decoder, the SATA disk
29 October 2026

On these three receivers the remote control has another name in the kernel than on the Viper 4K V20, so some buttons did nothing: recording, pause and play, rewind and fast forward, stop, YELLOW for the sound, and CH+ and CH- opened the list instead of changing the channel. In r3 they work as on the other receivers. On the Viper 4K V20, V30 and V40 nothing changed.
The picture decoder now starts as in the usual software of these receivers: when it opens, it takes its data from the channel, not from the start-up logo. It is the fix for the black main screen on some V10 receivers, where the picture was seen only in the small window and in DVB-I. Tell us on the forum whether the picture now appears on the TV.
A disk on the receiver's SATA port is used for recordings, like a USB disk. Also in r3: the signal quality shown correctly on the tuners of these receivers, the blue Bouquets button, with Favourites first, remote assistance and the beta tester programme, as in 0.6.9 on the V20.
The archive is written from a USB stick, like r1 and r2; its name ends in _mmc.zip, as the start-up menu looks for it. On the SF8008 and MINI the start-up fixes from r2 stay. If your V10 started from 0.6.6, you also get the same fixes from the menu, under Software update, as version 0.6.9.
