Imaginea HD Satelit 0.6.25 pentru Amiko Viper 4K V40: alfa (doar pentru testeri)
================================================================================

- dacă placa și împărțirea memoriei sunt ca la V20 (la pornire imaginea le citește și le compară);
- tunerele (câte și de ce fel), telecomanda din cutie, afișajul din față, memoria internă;
- oprirea completă și pornirea singură la ora unei înregistrări;
- ieșirea HDMI și televizorul când receptorul se oprește complet;

- notează sau fotografiază nota de la prima pornire;
  imaginea; la Jurnalele sistemului și Jurnalele de cădere sunt jurnalele; copiază-le;

HD Satelit image 0.6.25 for Amiko Viper 4K V40: Alpha (testers only)
====================================================================

ALPHA (TESTERS ONLY): the image has NOT been tested on any Amiko Viper 4K V40.
It is made from comparisons: the V40 has the same processor and kernel as the Amiko Viper 4K V20,
on which the image is tested (beta). The drivers are the manufacturer's drivers for the V40; we
compared them with those for the V20: the same code, except two programs of the board (the one that
holds the HDMI output and the one of the full power off). Whoever writes it to a V40 takes the
role of a tester: problems we have not seen can happen. No warranty at all (GPLv2).
Only for Amiko Viper 4K V40. Do not write it to a V20 or a V30 (they have their own images),
the first Viper 4K or another receiver. Writing replaces the current image, with its settings and
channels.

What could not be tested without a V40:
- whether the board and the memory layout are those of the V20 (the image reads and compares them);
- the tuners (how many, which kind), the remote in the box, the front display, the internal memory;
- the full power off and starting by itself at the time of a recording;
- the HDMI output and the TV when the receiver powers off completely;
- the folder on the stick where the receiver looks when writing and when recovering.
At the first start a note says Unconfirmed model: software for testers, with what the image read.
This is normal. If the processor or the place of the system in memory do not match, the image does
not start the interface, so it breaks nothing; then restore the receiver as in Recovery below.
The archive writes only the kernel and the system (kernel.bin and rootfs.tar.bz2); the boot part
of the receiver (loader, partition table) is not touched. Never put on the stick a usb_update.bin
(a full memory copy) made on another model: it rewrites the boot part too and can break the
receiver for good.

Steps:
1. In the image you have now, make a copy of the settings and channels on the stick.
2. On a USB stick with a single FAT32 partition (at least 1 GB free), unzip the archive straight
   into the root of the stick, not into a folder. The folder e2/update appears, with kernel.bin,
   rootfs.tar.bz2 and imageversion.
3. On the V40 the folder the receiver looks in depends on the image running now. Also make the
   folder dinobot/u57 and copy the same three files into it (two folders in all).
4. Put the stick into the blue USB port (USB 3.0) of the receiver.
5. Restart completely: unplug the receiver and plug it back in (or restart it from the menu of your
   image). When the front display shows MENU, press GREEN on the remote.
6. The display shows UPDT: the receiver writes the image for a few minutes and restarts by itself.
   Until then do not cut the power and do not remove the stick.
7. At the first start you choose the language and the resolution; then (if the channel copy is on
   the stick) the receiver asks whether to bring it back.
If UPDT lasts less than a minute and the old image is still there, nothing was written: the receiver
looks in another folder. Write to us which image was running and what the display showed.

Recovery (the image does not start, or you want the previous image back):
Writing from the stick (MENU, then GREEN) belongs to the loader of the receiver, not to the image,
so it works even when the image does not start. Put on the stick an image made for the Viper 4K V40
(the one from the manufacturer's site or another image for the V40): kernel.bin and rootfs.tar.bz2
in BOTH folders, e2/update and dinobot/u57. Then steps 4-6 above.
After our image the receiver looks in e2/update, as after the other images for the V40.

To help us (the logs):
- write down or photograph the note shown at the first start;
- in the web interface of the receiver (its address in a browser), the page /paza-model shows what
  the image read; the logs are under System logs and Crash logs; copy them;
- write to contact@hdsatelit.com: the model (Amiko Viper 4K V40), what you tested, what failed
  and the logs.
